Under Bob's leadership of 27 years, FBN has grown from $750,000 in annual revenue to more than $32 million and won dozens of local and national awards. His most recent awards include 2022 New England Home Design Hall of Fame and 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award from IFDA.
Throughout his tenure heading FBN, he’s tried to make client satisfaction his top priority. To this effect, he introduced the revolutionary business model of giving his clients full control of budget and project decisions, believing that the contractor’s job is just to provide the clients with all the necessary information to make those decisions and then implement them to the highest standard.
Bob has won both Builder of the Year and Remodeler of the Year from the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB); been honored at an American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) gala for his contributions to the association; won a community service award from the International Furnishings and Design Association; earned a President’s Citation from the ASID President; and served as president of the BRAGB for 2015-2016.
After graduating from Phillips Exeter Academy, Bob decided to travel across the U.S. and work in Europe for two years instead of attending college, a decision he still regards as one of the most rewarding he’s ever made. After returning to the U.S., he worked his way up from dishwasher to manager at the popular 33 Dunster Street restaurant in Harvard Square where he began to develop his philosophy on the importance of customer service. After entering the construction industry as a carpenter in the early 1980s, Bob quickly rose to become president of BEEM Construction in 1987 and then became the head of the growing FBN team in 1995.
He enjoys FBN’s fun, collaborative atmosphere and heading a team that is incredibly easy-going about pretty much everything except customer service. Bob tries to ensure that every client trusts that he and his team always have their best interests at heart. The best part of his job is proving daily that nice guys don’t always finish last. When he’s not helping his clients build their dream homes, Bob loves to travel and spend time with his wife and family and play golf with friends, though he enjoys when people put their trust in him perhaps more than anything else. He also supports causes including cancer research, human rights and equal opportunity, and ethics in business.
Chris has been working in construction for over 30 years and has significant experience not just in executive-level management but in practicing carpentry himself as well. He has built a wide variety of projects over his career—many of them while he was the owner of Aztec Construction, Inc.—including historic mill conversions, large production multi-family units, low-rise and mid-rise commercial buildings, and specialized commercial facilities such as cleanrooms, labs, and testing rooms. He then narrowed his focus specifically to high-end residential construction and renovation and became a Principal and Operations Manager of BayPoint Builders Corp., growing BayPoint from a start-up to one of Boston’s larger residential builders and remodelers. Chris studied at Northeastern University and the Boston Architectural College, and he is OSHA and EPA Lead Certified and has a Construction Supervisor’s License. His interest in civics and leadership led him to become a member of the Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston (BRAGB), the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI), and other professional organizations, and he served on the Clinton, MA Zoning Board of Appeals for 24 years as well as on three school building committees. Chris finds the day-to-day interaction with his colleagues incredibly enjoyable, especially in the context of FBN’s supportive and collegial but challenging culture. He also enjoys sharing the wealth of experience he has accumulated over his career by mentoring some of his younger colleagues. For Chris, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing a client’s joy and satisfaction upon completion of a project. When he’s not satisfying clients or fulfilling any of his civic duties, Chris enjoys spending time with his family, skiing, cycling, mountain biking, running, and swimming.

Bob is one of FBN’s partners and serves as the head of production. In this role, he works directly with FBN’s teams in the office and in the field as well as with homeowners to maintain project budgets and schedules. Bob is OSHA and Lead Paint Certified, and he is also a Certified Graduate Remodeler. The Builders and Remodelers Association of Greater Boston recognized his work in 2014 with the Gold PRISM Award for Project Manager of the Year. Bob worked as a laborer for a local builder during the summers while he was in high school and found his calling in constructing and renovating high-quality homes. After graduating, he began working full-time and learned every aspect of carpentry from frame to finish. Over the course of his career, Bob has learned the importance of being patient in starting projects and developing them thoroughly first to allow better control of both budget and schedule, and he still learns from his talented colleagues every day. When he’s not overseeing projects, Bob loves to play guitar, go to Patriots games, and vacation at the beach, not to mention his voracious crossword puzzle addiction.

Lorelle entered the design and construction community by happy accident. Purchasing her first home fifteen years ago, she bought what would be classified as a tear down by most standards. She and her husband gutted the house and soon after he deployed to Iraq for ten months leaving Lorelle to design, space plan, and project manage putting it all back together. With this introduction to design and construction the dye was cast. Soon after Lorelle followed up her Master’s degree in History with the pursuit of a certificate from Boston Architectural College in Kitchen and Bath Design, and began her professional career in the field as a showroom design consultant. Following her showroom experience Lorelle worked in project plumbing sales for a global plumbing manufacturer in Boston and Greater New England. Matt got his start in construction working as a laborer and carpenter during summers and vacations throughout high school and college. After finishing school and working on gut rehabs in Boston and Cambridge, he started a general contracting business. Matt operated that company for 13 years before joining the FBN team. With this significant experience in construction, leadership, and individual responsibility, Matt makes an excellent senior project manager. A notable accomplishment of his is that he built the first LEED-H* multi-family home in the U.S. Sustainability and the environment are causes close to Matt's heart. Matt's favorite thing about working with FBN is being able to engage with people and focus on building spectacular projects for his clients. The greatest joy of his position comes from helping to deliver excellence for all FBN customers, in both the final result and the journey to get there. The biggest piece of advice he offers to homeowners is to find a builder who you fully trust. The process of your project needs to be comfortable and enjoyable for you, not just the final result. Matt graduated from Connecticut College in 2001 with a BA in Comparative Religious Studies. He enjoys spending time with his wonderful fiancé Emily, playing golf, and getting outside whenever possible. His dream home has modern lines, lots of windows, and bold accenting. *LEED Certification is a globally-recognized symbol of sustainability in construction.

He likes to keep an open mind when learning and enjoys collaborating with his coworkers at FBN. Before going into carpentry full-time, he worked as an EMT for Brewster Ambulance. Now, he’s enjoying the company of his FBN team, working on projects everyone is passionate about. He attributes his strong work ethic and morals to his parents, his biggest inspiration. Bill believes in doing the right thing and following through on commitments. Outside of carpentry, Bill is a family man, enjoys sports, and volunteers in his hometown, Norwood, MA. His two children, Erin and Liam, mean the world to him. He enjoys spending time with them and coaching them at various sports.
Jeff made the exciting transition from field carpenter to estimator nearly a decade ago and brings to FBN a wealth of knowledge in the industry. He is passionate about helping clients bring their dreams to life. He is focused, organized, and adaptable—always ready to take challenges that might come in the way of meeting clients’ goals. Jeff enjoys change, and strives for excellence in FBN’s dynamic environment. He loves working with his coworkers. He believes that on top of being very disciplined and talented, they have an excellent sense of humor. When not working, you can find Jeff outdoors enjoying not only exercise like cycling, paddle boarding, and crew rowing, but also woodworking, gardening and beekeeping. Jeff’s dream house would have a light, airy interior, with a shop out back. Most importantly, it would have the best finishes, either in a modern or American craftsman style. Jeff holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Arizona State University, and comes to FBN with experience as a professional modern and ballet dancer. Jeff believes in exploring, in looking deeper and in acting with precision, three strengths that come along with professional ballet experience.
Jonathan’s lifelong commitment to construction and carpentry began when he was just 12 years old, working summers and school vacations with his father. He is very knowledgeable about home renovation with several years of experience and his education in Building Construction from Manchester Community College, where he graduated with honors. This background serves him well at FBN Construction, where he can both tackle unexpected obstacles and demonstrate a high level of craftsmanship and manual labor. Jonathan enjoys learning from his coworkers’ decades of experience and he’s constantly embracing challenges and discovering new things. This appreciation for continuous growth is part of why he loves FBN Construction, where no matter how long you’ve been here, everyone is treated with the same level of respect. When Jonathan isn’t working, he loves to go trail riding on his motorcycle (a replacement for back when he used to race motorcycles) and working on restoring classic cars and diesel trucks. His dream house would be a small cabin in the woods designed to enjoy the present while sipping his favorite drink every morning: a large black iced coffee — yes, even in the winter. If he had to choose a superpower, it would be to read people’s minds which connects with his passion for helping homeowners discover and build homes that reflect what their hearts truly desire.
